We ship pet steps and pet ramps. Currently we are bubble wrapping all of the parts and boxing them up. All hardware gets put in zip lock bags and sometimes taped to the back of the steps so the hardware is more secure during shipping. I know that when the client opens the box things have likely shifted and it’s not a professional way if packaging. It’s a bit embarrassing, but I have literally no artistic or professional knowledge of packaging up these parts. Can you give some suggestions on how I should package these products up? We have a few items that go inside some Uline boxes we have in stock and then the larger ones we custom cut those boxes to size. I’ve thought of using foam, or something like that to keep the parts still and forgoing the bubble wrap. I just don’t know the best way to do this. Each pet step product ships with rails, sides, and steps. The ramps ship with large panels.
Topic summary
A pet furniture manufacturer seeks advice on improving their packaging methods for pet steps and ramps. Currently, they bubble wrap components and place hardware in zip-lock bags, but items shift during shipping, creating an unprofessional unboxing experience.
Current challenges:
- Products include rails, sides, steps, and large panels (up to 80" long)
- Using stock and custom-cut Uline boxes
- Considering foam alternatives to bubble wrap
Proposed solution:
Arka recommends custom inserts that create cavities within boxes to secure products without bubble wrap, offering better presentation.
Outstanding issue:
The suggested insert product has a maximum length of approximately 25", insufficient for the manufacturer’s larger items (up to 80" long). The discussion remains open regarding whether Arka offers larger custom sizes to accommodate these dimensions.

Our inserts page lets you create a cavity within a tray within the box that holds your product safely without bubble wrap.
EXCELLENT presentation this way as well.

It appears the largest in length this product goes is roughly 25”. We have products that are as long as 80”. Do you guys offer larger custom sizes?
