Hi! I’m developing my own store with landing page.
I see a lot of shopify users embed their (or customer’s) video clips from either Instagram reels or TikTok video in their landing page. Videos automatically runs when a user gets to the section with video and users can swipe to see different videos while the next video can automatically play as it focused.
Wonder what’s the best and most common way to embed the clips in Shopify stores that people use?
Thanks!

Hi @JBshop1

Most Common (and Smoothest) Ways to Embed Reels in Shopify:
Use an App (No-code / Low-code)
A lot of merchants use Shopify apps built specifically for embedding social video feeds. These handle autoplay, swipe interactions, and dynamic loading. Some top apps:
- Instafeed – For embedding Instagram Reels.
- Vimeo Create / Videowise – Very polished for product-focused reels.
- ReelUp, Tagembed, or Socialwidget – For both Instagram + TikTok feeds.
Pros: Fast to set up, autoplay/slick swiping is built in
Cons: Might cost a bit for advanced features or customization
*Recommend app: MP Instagram Feed ‑ Instafeed
Please let me know if it works as expected!
Best regards!
Hello @JBshop1
Common & Best Ways to Embed Auto-Playing, Swipeable Videos in Shopify:
Use a video slider/carousel section
You upload video files (MP4) directly to Shopify (or host them somewhere like Cloudflare/Your Server), then create a swiper/slider.
Libraries like Swiper.js or Flickity are popular for swipeable behavior.
Videos are muted + autoplay + loop, and they auto-play when the video comes into focus.
Advantages:
Full control (no Instagram/TikTok logos)
Fast loading (if optimized)
