Hello dear Shopify folks,
I am using the Brooklyn theme and want to change the behaviour of my search icon in the header section. Unfortunately I did not find a solution for my problem on the web.
When clicking the search icon, it opens a pop-up window fading everything out and using a solid color background.
But here lies my issue. I am using a custom background image and in order to do so I had to set my background color to transparent. Now when the search pop-up opens the search bar just floats above the other content of the before viewed page which is now still visible in the background. This can be very confusing.
In order to avoid this I could use the following solutions:
- Change the behaviour from opening a pop-up to setting a static link to the search page. This way it would redirect to the search page instead of opening the pop-up.
- Using a background color only for this pop-up search bar.
