Bundles of product variants with central color option

Hi,

I am looking for a solution for bundling products with the same variant options (color) and have the color picked centrally for the bundle product.

To give you a better understanding of what I am aiming for here is a simplified, ideal setup.

Product A is offered in three colors: blue, red, green

Product B is also offered in the same colors

Product C is also offered in the same colors

Now I want to offer a bundle of Product A+B+C. In the normal Shopify Bundle App the user can then choose for each product within the bundle the color, meaning he could end with Product A in red, B in green and C in blue.

What I want to achieve is, that the user just chooses once the color and every product is then chosen with this color.

My products are plates and cups, where I want the customer to get matching colors when buying a set. And the stockkeeping needs to be considered to be automatically with the bundle.

Is there an app that is offering that or need it to be custom code??

I can not remember right now any bundle app that does this, but there are a lot of them…

I was wondering why are you limiting this, I mean, maybe I want pink cups with white plates…

I understand your requirements clearly. You want to create a bundle where the customer can select the color just once, and that chosen color is applied to all bundled products automatically.

You can achieve this using Profit Bundles app. Instead of having three separate dropdowns for each product, you just need to create a single color selection dropdown.

Here’s how it works:

  • In the bundle composition within the app, you can add products of the same color.

  • For example, if the customer selects the red color, the bundle composition will automatically include the red plate and red cups.

  • This way, the customer’s order will always have matching colors once processed by the app.

Hey @markus_luzemar !

That makes total sense – basically you want each of the component product color options to be synced. Select red for product A, and product B and C auto-select the red option.

If you do want to go the custom code route, we can set it up for you quickly with Flex Bundles. We’d just add a custom bundle block and write a little JS to sync up the selectors, and Flex Bundles would handle all the bundling stuff. As a bonus, it would match your store really nicely and be super fast.

It looks like you want a no-code, easy-to-use solution where all items in a bundle share the same color and inventory stays synced — I think you should use Easify Inventory Sync. It’s simple to set up and doesn’t require any coding. Here’s how it works:

1. Create your product with 3 variants: blue, red, green

2. Set Up Bundle Groups: Use the app to create Bundle groups that connect your variants with your original individual products (Product A, B, C). Here’s how to set up a bundle group for your product:

  • Master Product: Blue
  • Component Product: Product A - Blue with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
  • Component Product: Product B - Blue with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
  • Component Product: Product C - Blue with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1

Then do the same with Red and Green

3. How It Works:

  • The inventory for your color variants will be automatically calculated based on the individual product’s inventory (product A, B, C)
  • When 1 Blue variant is purchased, the inventory of Product A, B, C - Blue will be reduced by 1, total is 3. The app will then recalculate the available quantities for your variants based on the updated A, B, C inventory, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
