Where does Shopify define the URL path to the shop customer account login page?
I get a lot of bot/spam attempts to login to my site as a customer, and/or create bogus accounts. They ALWAYS come in the door at the *.my-shopify.com/account/login URL, which I suspect 99% of Shopify sites have.
I’d like to change the URL for */account to be something like */my-account, primarily to block the bots. Is the URL to the /account tree (/account, /account/login, etc) defined in the theme or somewhere else in Shopify? Can it be edited?
NOTE: I’m not talking about the login URL for shop administrators, I’m talking about the customer login URL.
dont know if you already found a solution. You can do this:
settings → checkout and accounts → tick the ‘new customer accounts’ under customer account settings
Then under customer account URLs, click manage domain for the new customer accounts and set up a subdomain by clicking ‘connect existing domain’ and put eg. ‘account.YOURDOMAIN.com’
You would need access to your DNS to do this, as you need to create a cname record
