Can I enable a checkout UI extension directly on a live store?

I want to use checkout UI extension for one of my Live store. I have few doubts:

  1. Can I enable checkout UI extension on Live store directly ?

  2. Do I need to create custom app for checkout UI extension?

Please help me. I am stuck.

Hello,

  1. You can enable Checkout UI extensions from the checkout settings page in the admin - As long as you have upgraded to checkout extensibility

  2. You can create a custom app or you can install a public app - either way it needs to be an app that is installed to your store
