Can I set up a cash-on-delivery payment method, but only have that payment method available in my country?

At the moment, it’s impossible to restrict the COD method to a specific country or region.

The optimum solution for you now is to write a notice like " COD payment method is only available in the US" for example to let customers know whether they’re eligible for this payment method or not.

You can adjust a notice content by editing the theme language

Here you can add the COD note for your country!

Shopify Plus plan has this feature only.

This is unfortunately not doable on the standard Shopify Plans, Shopify Checkout does not allow limiting the COD option to only certain countries, all Shopify payment methods will appear to all customers.

But you can have this feature if you can use a separate order form for your Cash On Delivery customers, you can use our app EasySell - COD Form & Upsells to create an easy and simpler order form that will allow your customers to quickly order directly from the product or cart page (with many additional features like Upsells, Bundles, Sheet integration… ).

What interest you the most is our app already have the option to limit the form for certain countries only, just Install the app and go to Settings > Visibility > Limit form to certain countries only then select the countries where you want to enable the Cash On Delivery.

Yes, you can set up the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method to be available only in your country using the PayRules: Hide Payment Methods app. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Choose Cash on Delivery from the Select payment methods field.
  2. Select Hide if not found and your country from the drop down list of the Countries field options.

See the below screenshot for an example where I used Canada for the Countries field.

Now, the COD payment option will be visible only to customers from Canada.
