Can I make my collection page my default homepage?

I am looking to have my collection page open by default when you type in my store URL, i am looking to do this with a theme like PlainJane or similar.

There are few things that you can do to achieve.

  1. Make your home page become the collection page itself, so once user type your url, they will see the collection content on the homepage

  2. Add custom code to redirect if anyone land on the homepage.

I can help you with the second one, but i will need to know your home URL and collection URL
