Can I sell products directly from the supplier's site on my ecommerce store?

Hello, I’m still on my free trial and I’m trying to figure some things out. Is it possible to promote a product and have the customer check out on the site that its coming from ? Or do all products have to be in my ecommerce store for it to be sold eventually?

Hi @elijahg07

Thank you for your question.

Yes, you’re right. All products have to be in your Shopify store to be sold eventually. You have to import products on your own or through third-party apps like Oberlo to your Shopify store to sell.

I hope that this answer would be helpful.

Hi @elijahg07 ,

The customers are always required to use Shopify’s checkout page whenever the customer placed an order on your online store. This is also the case if using the buy button sales channel, even if you put the products on different websites or blog posts, they will still be routed back to Shopify checkout to pay for the items.

The exception for this is if you decided to use third-party sales channels like Amazon, eBay. Shopify supports pushing those products to those channels. These channels have their own checkout pages, so the customer will need to pay on those websites. I hope this helps.
