Is there a way to make this reviews section a dropdown underneath the “Ask Question” section in products? I do not want to change the color, just make “reviews” a dropdown that is hidden until someone clicks the “carrot” to see them.
Yes this is possible to make the review section in accordion but need some code tweaks. Can you please hire a developer to make changes. Let me know if you need any help.
Are we not allowed to ask for help in coding to be able to adjust these things ourselves? I thought the discussion boards were for asking these types of questions, since I see a lot of help in these areas. If I have posted in the wrong topic area I’m happy to repost elsewhere.
I wanted to send you one last follow up - I had reached out to our developers to see if this is something I could get a technical explanation on for you or not. I know you mentioned you weren’t interested in having someone else do it on your behalf which I can appreciate. Ultimately, because both of these are BLOCKS, you cannot add a block within a block -so, it is in fact a limitation and not something that could be done.
If you have any other questions pertaining to our conversation today, please respond back directly to this email or as always, connect with us 24/7 for continued support.
Thank you very much for taking the time to research that!
I am a bit confused, as I have seen this done in other store websites that use the same theme, product reviews app as me. I am assuming they are doing it via someone who can add the code. If I am understanding you correctly, you are saying that unless I want to have someone add coding for me to make this happen it is not something the app developers can do on there end? I guess I will have to reach out to my coding friends.
Do you have an example of where it’s done? Is it their “reviews” app or some other app? If you share an example, I’ll forward it to the support.
I have a feeling it can be done easily, and I want to learn. So if not here going to ask some friends or StackOverflow. I’m sure someone can give a definitive answer on whether it can be done or can’t be done. Obviously, we can’t put a block inside a block by Jason
If someone decides to contribute or hint on how to overcome the limitation, we’d appreciate it.
Perhaps there is a way to get the results of the app through other means than a block or put some javascript which will take care of it on a front end, etc.
“putting-a-block-inside-another-block” should be a common request, not related to a theme or a review app, and should be a way to achieve that. Maybe if this doesn’t get addressed, we can ask more broadly again, without involving the reviews app.
hard to believe; any seasoned developer to comment?
Hi again,
I’m afraid that is the only answer I was provided with - the fact that this was not something that could be done nor is it a supported customization through our developers because of it. There was no alternative trick or hint in terms of how one might be able to do it another way.
