Am I able to use my Iphone as a barcode scanner for check out which I am using a I Pad for my pop up shops?

Unfortunately you are not able to do this with Shopify POS.
I would suggest using a separate barcode scanner as specified by Shopify - https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/hardware/barcode-scanners

You can go to Shopify POS from there
Login on main screen
click Products
then click Search icon top right,
Search bar to type will open up, but now click again top right of that search bar there is an icon which will allow you to search by “barcode” it will ask for access to your device first, which you have to grant. You then scan the barcode and it will pull up that product or variant if it has a barcode in your store.
You typically need to ensure these barcodes are created ahead time using an App like https://apps.shopify.com/search?q=barcode%20generator
