Can shopify payment be linked to payoneer to withdraw money?

Hey victor,

I live in turkey, and it is hard for me to find a payment getaway here, I don’t think I can link my turkish bank account directly to shopify right?, So please tell me what other options do I have for starters, I have Payoneer until now, Can I use payoneer as a payment getaway so I can start selling? Or if not is there other options? Also I have tried all the payment getaway which is mentioned on the shopify website supporting turkey, but most of them are not for starters and they decline your application.

Hi @SMH999 ,

Thank you for getting in touch. In terms of using a Payoneer account to receive payouts, this is not something we allow via our own payment gateway (Shopify Payments) and we cannot speak to what other gateways allow in terms of bank account types that can be used. This is something you would need to ask the payment gateway directly.

Shopify Payments is not available to merchants in Turkey, although you can find a list of third-party payment gateways available to you here. These are all of the gateways that Turkish merchants can use to accept online payments, so you will need to use one from this list. On what grounds were your applications to use the gateways rejected? Did the gateways inform you how you might be accepted in future?

Please be aware you can also view a list of alternative and additional payment methods in the Payments section of the Shopify admin, as well as manual methods.

Hi Victor. South Africa?

Doing Business in USA

Hi @Craig69 ,

If you and your business are eligible to use Shopify Payments, you cannot link a Payoneer account and use it to receive payouts. Shopify Payments US users must provide a valid checking account from a US financial instition; a virtual account that mimics a bank account in another country will not work.

As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, other gateways may allow Payoneer accounts to be used but that is something you’d need to confirm with the payment gateway directly. You can find a list of payment gateways available to use in South Africa here.

Hi .@Victor
i am form pakistan and want sell In USA and Shopify Payments not available in Pakitsan so can i accept payments directly to Payoneer from USA on shopify is this possible…??please guide me about it thanks

Hi @M_Ahmad ,

If you are based in Pakistan, you can use of the gateways available to merchants there. In terms of linking a Payoneer account to receive payouts, this is something you’d need to confirm with the gateway you decide to use to accept payments. You cannot use a Payoneer account with Shopify Payments and at this time Shopify Payments is not available to merchants in Pakistan.

Hi .@victor

Thanks for the reply…so can i use my friend’s Shopify Payments account in Pakistan i mean my friend lives in USA so can i use his USA’s details in Pakistan with my shopify store will this work?

Hi @M_Ahmad ,

This person will need to provide an SSN and will be the representative on the Shopify Payments account if you use their details. You will also likely need to provide proof of a US-based address and a US bank account, not a Payoneer one. I can’t confirm that you will then be approved to use Shopify Payments but you are welcome to submit this information. Our payments team will review what you have submitted and make a decision.

Hi .@Victor

Can i use stripe atlas with shopify?

Hi @M_Ahmad ,

Can you tell me which country you and your business are based in please?

Hi .@Victor

Basically i live in Pakistan and want to run my Shopify Dropshipping Store in UK and for me the Stripe Atlas is the only option to receive payments from customers from UK in Pakistan

Hi @M_Ahmad ,

Okay, I see. Stripe is not a gateway available to merchants in Pakistan using Shopify, so you will need to use a different gateway from this list. I do not believe Stripe would approve you for a payments account with them without a UK residence or bank account, so I’d recommend using a different gateway available to merchants in Pakistan.

Hi .@Victor

Stripe have a service call Stripe Atlas which is allowing to use stripe service in which countries are Stripe is not supported thats why they offering A Service call Stripe Atlas* so we can use Stripe also in Pakistan just by giving them fees so basically i want ask that am i able to run Shopify Dropshipping business from Pakistan In UK?

Hi @M_Ahmad ,

Okay, I see. Even with this being the case, it is not possible to enable Stripe or any of their services when your store is based in a country where Shopify Payments is available. You could consider using Shopify Payments instead, but you would need to provide information such as a proof of address in the UK as well as a bank account with a UK banking institution.

Hi .@victor

Thanks for getting in touch so basically i want to explain I’m not an UK resident I’m Pakistan’s resident and wondering to run Shopify business in other country such as UK but the Supported payment gateways is not working here in Pakistan. So is there any way to use Shopify payments In Pakistan?

For example my friend is an uk resident so can i use his Shopify Payments account? Or is he able to make an account for me? Even I’m not the resident of UK. or any other solution you can suggest me…?

Hey, I have the same question. I am from Pakistan.

Hi @M_Ahmad ,

Shopify Payments is not available to merchants in Pakistan at this time, and if you do set up a store with a UK address in order to enable Shopify Payments, we will require verification to be completed before you can accept and receive payments. A full checking account with a British bank must be linked and we may ask for documentation to provide residency in the UK.

If you have a friend who is based in the UK and wishes to work with you for your business, then they can sign up and provide their information. Please bear in mind that this person would then be the one who’d receive correspondence about the Shopify Payments account. Please refer to our Shopify Payments UK Terms of Service for more information.

@Momi1077 — Please review the information I have shared in my last few posts and let me know if you have further questions.
