I have an online clothing store, and I create my products through Printify. In the past I have had no quantity on my shirts, but I’ve changed my mind and I want to do limited drops. But when I go to my posted shirt and try and modify the quantity (in shopify), It tells me “Inventory is not tracked at any location”. I’ve looked through both shopify’s and printify’s settings but I’m stumped. Any and all help is appreciated!
Hi! I recommend checking with Printify first to ensure you can track inventory from your Shopify admin. I believe you’ll need to adjust your inventory settings to ensure that Printify is set as the “location” that inventory will be stocked at. Then, you’ll need to ensure that “Track quantity” is selected for each product before you can enter the quantity for each product.
Typically, we do not advise tracking quantity for print on demand products, as the supplier handles inventory on your behalf. However, I totally understand in your case that it would be helpful in order to facilitate limited edition runs of each product. It’s important that you check with the app developer first to ensure this will work.
Hi,
Hope the following will help
- Enable inventory tracking and set quantities in Shopify.
- Check product settings in Printify to ensure proper syncing.
- Use Shopify’s inventory tools for future drops and management.
- For advanced inventory needs use app.
