Center title and pricing on collection page

I am trying to center the text of the product title and price when displayed as a collection on my shop page. (I am a graphic designer without much developer knowledge.)

All of the support for this refers to editing a ‘theme.scss.css’. I do not have a file with this title. I have a ‘theme.liquid’ under the Layout menu and a ‘theme.js’ under Assets. I’ve tried placing suggested code in both of these places but there was no change.
