Change variant buttons to dropdown - Brooklyn theme

Hello,

I need urgent help on changing my variant selector to a dropdown instead of the default radio buttons on the Brooklyn theme. I have used the instructions in the below link however it doesn’t swap over after being saved.

Is this a fault with the theme or my store? Be glad of any help with this!
