I need to upgrade my secure payments to Protocol 4.0 on Sagepay by 14th March but need a developer to do this. Would simply changing to Shopify payments solve this problem? Thanks.

While we can’t comment on the requirements of third-party providers, I’d like to share some info with you here on what Shopify Payments can provide in terms of payment security compliance.
Any payments processed via Shopify Payments are automatically subject to a 3D secure checkout flow.
Shopify itself and stores created using Shopify are also certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant.
Can you tell me a bit more about the requirement you referred to here, and where it’s coming from so we can be sure we’re sharing the most relevant info with you here?
If you’re happy to share in which country your store is based also, we can share a list of all payment gateways available for use there to confirm if Shopify Payments is among them.
Where available, the use of Shopify Payments means you would not also be paying transaction fees on your orders versus when using a third-party gateway, so it could be worth checking out for your business.

Thanks for your reply. My webstore is https://fruitycables.myshopify.com/ based in the UK only. I have until 14th march to make changes to sagepay but am hoping that if I simply change payment provider to Shopify then these problems will be resolved immediately? Please advise?
FYI This is for the PDS2 compliance. I tried activating this on sage pay but customerws could not use their cards because additional changes need to be made. Thanks in advance for your advice.

While we cannot comment on third-party services or compliance they might require, I can share some info here on the security features of Shopify Payments.
Check out this blog article on PSD2 and strong customer authentication (SCA) for more info.
As stated there, if you are using Shopify Payments for your UK-based store no further action is required and you would already be PSD2 and SCA compliant.
If you have further questions about how this would work for Sagepay or any other third-party gateway, I would advise you to contact them directly for confirmation.
