hi there, i should only be charged once per month for my shop but i’m doing my accounts and notice that for june i’ve been billed twice. i only have one invoice. who can i speak to about this?

While there could be various reasons as to why you’re seeing multiple charges on your June bill, I would recommend checking out our Bill Charges Documentation for a breakdown of any fees that may appear. This could include the following:
- Subscription Fees: Depending on your plan, you may follow a billing cycle that occurs every 30 days (as opposed to every 1, 2, or 3 years), where the cycle happened to fall twice within the month of June. For example, if you were initially billed on September 1st, your next bill would be October 1st. However, as October has 31 days, your third invoice would be issued on October 31st - meaning two invoices would be issued in that calendar month.
- Shipping Label Fees: After you buy a shipping label through Shopify Shipping, the cost is billed through your Shopify account. Any shipping insurance that you purchase or shipping adjustments that a shipping carrier charges you are also billed through your Shopify account.
- Third-Party Transaction Fees: Third-party transaction fees are charges that apply to each transaction when you use a third-party payment provider to take customer payments. The transaction fees cover the cost for Shopify to integrate with external payment providers, and vary depending on the plan that you choose.
- Domains, Themes, and One-Time App Fees: You will receive a bill with a one-time charge for actions like registering a domain, buying a theme, or buying an app.
- Shopify Email: Merchants receive 10,000 free emails to send at the beginning of every month. Any additional emails will cost an additional fee.
- Taxes: If your business is located in a Canadian or American jurisdiction where Shopify has a business presence, then Shopify is required by law to charge applicable taxes on your subscription.
