Having extreme difficulty getting the checkout experience right for our customers, and frankly, us when an order is placed.
(1) How do we easily incorporate a shipping address and billing address? The current set up (see blendedfarms.com) seems to confuse people and orders we get notifications for seem to get shipping/delivery backwards half the time. everywhere else I shop, check out is pretty clear - one, where is product going and to whom, and two, who is making actual purchase?
We sell flora arrangements, so many of them are gifts for others, but this recipient vs. purchaser info seems extremely difficult to properly collect. Why???
(2) How do we set “delivery date” and “gift message” AFTER express checkout is selected? If someone purchases by “adding to cart,” in our cart there’s a required delivery date and optional gift message. That works great. BUT when someone selects “buy now” or “express check out” it skips over that. How can we get preferred delivery date and optional gift message to show up for every order, no matter whether or not that “buy now” or “add to cart”?
Anyone have any helpful info on these things? It’s extremely frustrating and we may have to move to Wix instead, as my husband’s site on Wix has a way more simple checkout process, it seems.
