Clickable images in multicolumn view - is it possible to change background color & column number

Hello!

I used the excellent code solution by @LitExtension to change the images in a Multicolumn layout so they are now clickable. (The original solution is here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/making-photo-clickable-in-multicolumn/m-p/1339951/highlight/true#M350472 )

I have 3 questions:

  1. No matter what I choose for the background color of the Multicolumn module, it remains white. How would I fix the multicolumn.liquid code to be compatible with the background choices available in the Refresh theme?

  2. I have set the number of columns on desktop to be 6, but the Multicolumn module will only show 4 columns max. How can I fix this?

  3. I would like the images to fill the full width of the column, but if I choose the full width setting, the images show as very large and only 2 images display in each row. This is the same problem a user describes here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/clickable-image-size/td-p/1600819

@suyash1 Sorry, no, I want the background of the whole Multicolumn block to be #0e1b4d. I also wanted the layout to be 5 columns in desktop view. Thank you!

Hi @LitExtension , I just noticed one issue. The images all link back to the homepage instead of the button link. Is it possible to fix that? Thank you again!

I copied this text to my multicolumn.liquid to fix the same issue (thanks!) but now all my text is underlined in the columns. I can’t figure out how to fix that as there’s no underline option in the enter text field box in the left column, and I even deleted the one line that has underline mentioned in it and it made no difference. Can you please direct me how to fix this?
