How to add Collapsible Product Description in product page in Dawn Theme all at once.

You can try some ways here to add the collapse to your product page of the Dawn theme.

  1. Create Metafields for Product Descriptions:

    • Go to your Shopify admin, navigate to Settings > Metafields > Products.
    • Click Add definition, give it a name like “Collapsible Description”, and select Multi-line text as the content type.
    • Save the metafield definition.

  2. Add Metafield Content to Products:

    • Go to Products in your Shopify admin.
    • Open a product, scroll down to the Metafields section, and enter the description content for the “Collapsible Description” metafield you created.
    • Repeat this for all products.

  3. Customize the Product Page Template:

    • Navigate to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
    • Select Products > Default Product from the page selector at the top.
    • In the Product Information section, click Add block and select Collapsible tab.
    • In the Tab content on the right, click Insert dynamic source and select the “Collapsible Description” metafield.
    • Save your changes.

  4. Adjust the Collapsible Tab Settings:

    • You can customize the title and other settings of the collapsible tab to match your store’s design and user experience preferences.
