I once made a single collection of multiple collections within the ‘collection’ tab under ‘products’ tab. It will not show up in the navigation menu. It is so I can have a ‘Clearance’ slide on my homepage and just add whatever collections I want without adding it to the menu in navigation.

So, for example, You would click on my ‘Clearance’ Shop Now button and it will take you to all items within 3 different collections, but when you click ‘Main Menu’ in the header, you will not see the category for clearance. Its not part of the ‘Navigation’ under ‘Online Store’, the ‘Clearance’ category is only under ‘Collections’ tab.

Now, I am unable to figure this out. Did this option get removed? It was only a few months ago that I did it.
