I know there are a few topics on this but my issue seems ot be a bit different.
My collections do not show the prodcuts listed and the colletion does not link anywhere. Each collection shows the same content.
Collection and page link in case someone needs to test the issue. Click on anything under shop navigation and takes you to a different link but all the pages are the same.
Someone able to help here?
I have the collection done mannually and active, the products are added to the collection and the menu.
Note that Collections List is the template for the page that houses all your collections, and the individual collection pages are based on the Default Collection template.
Maybe I am not gettign this collections thing. I think shopify over complicates something that should be simple.
Collection is a category and simply tryign to link a path hosers.co/collections/watershoes and have a product show up in that category/collection should be simple. I am not sure why I have to go to a half dozen spots to make this happen?
So this is your issue. This “default collection” template is actually the Collection List template, or at least has the elements of it. I’m wondering what the real list template looks like. If they are the same, then you can edit this template. On the left column, Delete or hide all that stuff withing Collection list. Then see what the “Featured Collection” stuff is. I see “Product Grid” at the bottom. This should be what you’re looking for. On my theme, it says “Main Collection”.
That’s wild. Your theme has all this stuff in the default collection template that shouldn’t be there. Hide everything until you get to the “Product Grid”. All those featured collection sections. Hide them.
I think after re-reading your last comment, I understand. You added a lot of sections to the default collection template, and you put them before the actual collection of the page. This made it appear as though you were looking at the same page in every link.
You have a Collections Page for all of that: Collections – Hosers Shoe Company . So I would not include them in this template. I suggest that you delete all that extra stuff, or move it to below the main content “Product Grid”.
Thanks for that. I want to make sure people see a face behind the scenes, not just a name or a generic email address. I think it’s important to know who we are and from whom we are dealing on the other side of the email.
In order to do the requested changes requires to do the custom code in your theme file.
Could you please share the 4 digits collab code along with the store url in the p/m so that I can take a look and make the requested changes.
Thanks
