As a small store, we simply do not have the revenue to hire outside experts, yet the interface is hopelessly complex. Are there any sample or AI based solutions that work for a company with limited products who just wants to try google without breaking the bank? Pretend you are explaining this to a 3rd grader.

I do not recommend using AI to do your work. The reason is that they often get it wrong, and you will have a high potential of just wasting your money.
If you have no budget to hire anyone, then focus on setting up performance max, that’s it. If you have a great website and product, you will start seeing sales.
