I have tried connecting my Facebook to my shopify account and I get the error “Your Facebook Commerce Account wasn’t approved” Facebook has flagged your account because it doesn’t comply with their Commerce Eligibility Requirements. I have contacted Facebook and Shopify and no one can help me. I have just launched my business late last year so I’m not sure if it’s because I am new or what is going on. Can someone please help me?

I appreciate you sharing this within the community and understand how important it is for you to have Facebook Shop integrated with your store.
In order to have this setup within your Shopify account, you’ll need to read and review the Facebook Shop Requirements and Commerce Eligibility Requirements. Facebook’s Commerce Policy and their Community Standards set the rules for the products and content that can appear on Facebook.
For better visibility, I’ll share the Facebook Shop requirements below.
Facebook Shop Requirements:
- Your store needs to be located in a country or region where the Facebook Shop feature is available.
- You need a Facebook Page for your business. The Facebook Page needs to use the Shopping template.
- Your Sender email, set in the Store details settings of your Shopify admin, needs to be a valid email address.
I would also recommend reaching out to Facebook Support again to see if they’re able to provide more clarification as to why the account wasn’t approved, what commerce eligibility requirement it does not follow and if anything needs to be adjusted for your account.
