I’m completely new to this whole process and am trying to understand how it all works. Basically I want to source different types of hats and beanies based on the style (ie flat bill, trucker hat, corduroy, and the Melin style hats) as well as beanies made from organic cotton, bamboo, and recycled materials and CONNECT the dots to a patch maker like Quality Woven Labels (who will sew the patches of my logo onto the hats and beanies) have the ordering, packaging, and shipping logistics handled through a Shopify account. Is that possible? If so, can someone please explain how? I’m very confused on the dropshipping process (and may be under the impression drop shipping is only for buying as an example a blank beanie from a dropshipping company and then re-selling it). I’m not familiar with the verbiage or nomenclature used to connect the above questions together and apologize if I’m speaking into unfamiliar territory. I also have a brain injury so my memory isn’t great. And how is the shipping charged, if any from say the hat maker to the patch maker or is it typically tied into the cost of the hat being purchased by the buyer (client) not me? I’m so confused…is it possibly all added at the end upon final shipment to buyer? Please tell me…am I being dumb by not using the hat maker to also be the patch maker and bundle it all together? The challenges Im often seeing or thinking is there’s not a lot of high quality patch makers out there…maybe I’m wrong and you can tell me of some good hat and beanie sellers as well as patch makers all in one location? Seeing an answer will be very helpful and appreciated.
Also, I’ve found a lot of products I need already from sources such as Faire, Foremost, Alibaba and a few others but I don’t know if they are on Shopify to buy their products. Does anybody know if they are? Can anyone recommend a “store” that does do dropshipping of the above hat/beanie materials as well as a reputable patch maker like Quality Woven Labels? I’ve heard they and The Studio are the best and The Studio doesn’t do dropshipping. I also need to make sure that whomever makes the patches can color match the logo patch to the hat color. I know, that’s A LOT of information.
Also, does anyone use the Heartbeat app? I haven’t been able to get the answers from them for these questions as well.
Lastly, my hope is to perform the above as well as do POS at Farmer’s Markets etc with product on hand. Can Shopify “separate” so to speak one Shopify e commerce site where buyers can choose to buy from me directly and also choose to buy from the dropshipping method as described above? Again, maybe I’m saying it the wrong way or not asking the right questions. That I just don’t know. Thank you, thank you, thank you for reading and your response.
