Connecting one Shopify account to multiple YouTube channels

Hello, we are a music label and would like to connect our Shopify store (which sells CDs, vinyl and merch for all our artists) to multiple Official Artist Channels on YouTube to display each of their respective products on each of their individual artist YouTube channels.

From my understanding, there is currently a limit to connecting 1 Shopify store to a maximum of 1 YouTube channel.

Is there an alternative option to accomplishing this? Possibly through Google Merchant Center? Does that offer an option to connect 1 store to various Official Artist Channels on YouTube?

Thanks

You can only connect the store, to youtube accounts you own. So not 3rd party channels you don’t own.

Hello @mktr

You’re right — Shopify only allows one YouTube channel to be linked per Shopify store via the YouTube Shopping integration. This limitation is enforced on both Shopify’s and Google/YouTube’s side, due to the way the YouTube Shopping and Commerce integrations are authenticated.

You want one Shopify store (for your label) to display artist-specific products on multiple Official Artist Channels (OACs) on YouTube.

Current Limitations:
. Shopify can only connect to one YouTube channel at a time.

. YouTube Shopping does not support multi-channel linking for one Shopify store.

. Google Merchant Center is tied to the same limitation for YouTube Shopping feeds.

Potential Workarounds:
Option 1: Use Separate Shopify Stores per Artist (Not Ideal)
. Create individual Shopify stores for each artist.

. Link each one to their own Official Artist Channel.

. Downside: expensive, duplicative, and hard to manage.

Option 2: Manually Tag Products in YouTube Videos
. Upload products manually into Google Merchant Center.

. Use YouTube video descriptions, pinned comments, or end screens/cards to direct users to relevant product URLs (from the central Shopify store).

. Doesn’t integrate products directly on the YouTube “Merch Shelf” but gives artist-specific control.

Option 3: Use YouTube Channel Managers + Deep Linking
. Keep a single Shopify store.

. Assign artist managers to manually feature their own products in their channel descriptions and content.

. Use filtered collection links for each artist:

. e.g., yourstore.com/collections/artist-name

. Not a full integration, but keeps branding consistent and manageable.

Option 4: Custom Integration via Google Content API
. You could set up a Google Merchant Center feed per artist and try using the Content API to create filtered product sets.

. Then, using different Google Merchant Center accounts per artist, associate each account with the artist’s YouTube OAC.

. Complex, but this is the most viable technical workaround if you’re comfortable with API automation and have the resources.

Thank you
