Hi, I want to make a convert / duplicate a section into a format that can be read by the Custom Liquid block format. How do I do this?
I tried to copy the entire .liquid file’s code into a new Custom Liquid block, but it says that schema is not allowed. So I deleted all the schema, but now nothing shows up.

You should copy the code about the block section instead of the entire section, and you also need to make some modifications.

Yes, because when you add code for ‘Custom Liquid’, it is just Liquid code and does not include Json, so everything will not be displayed.
And you also cannot declare a section within a block. You can convert section code to block and try adding it at a new block.

Long story short, I am testing out shopify as a replacement for my established wix store. I am working on replicating some of the design elements from my home page.
specifically, I am using the dawn 2 theme and I want to combine up to 3 featured collection sections into a single section so that I can have a single video looping as the background to those three carousels. I am not worrying about the background video for now, my focus is just on converting the featured collection section into a multi block section. Retention of the existing customisation features is ideal, but obviously some settings need to move out of the blocks into the main settings (theme, heading etc).

I checked and the 2 sites are currently running on 2 different platforms, so you can’t copy code for it.
Also, Liquid codes only work for Shopify, so wix stores will not include this code.

Yes I am aware of this. I am only attempting to modify shopify liquid, I am not copying anything from wix, but i do want to replicate the design. To do so, i need to do something similar to what the OP said above byconverting a section into a block so that i can have multiple in one single section
