My account was set up through a third party, and my storefront is displaying the currency in rupee currency. I have changed every currency within my store that I know of to US dollar. Can someone tell me where I going wrong. or point me in the right direction to correct this issue?

Just double-checking that your store is thekitchendenstore.com? If so, I just had a look and can see you have a local currency selector enabled within your store. This is really good to have as customers can see the price of your products in their native currency. For example, I am seeing all the products listed in New Zealand Dollar:
