We have a custom coded shopify site to operate a rental company. As we are a mobile service with delivery to multiple suburbs in Sydney, we have customised our site to add a delivery “product” to cart when the user enters their details. When we first launched, our original expert advised this to be the best solution. We do not want to use “local delivery” as it doesnt work with paypal etc etc
The delivery product was slow to load in cart and so after some testing, my expert suggested we revert the product to draft with a variant. This proved to work best and with testing the issue was resolved. HOWEVER…the last few cart checkouts have not had the product added despite my testing on Google Chrome. I believe this is an error with an alternative browser but cannot locate the info on the order analysis.
I am losing hundreds of dollars every day due to this error and I need it fixed asap.
Can someone please assist or advise why this might not be working and, second to this, perhaps offer a better solution?
We utilise the postcode feature to display a “we dont currently service your area” message prior to adding items to cart for checkout or approving the booking. Second to allowing us to block postcodes we dont service, the main feature is to apply correct delivery.
