Out of nowhere, my customers can’t check out. they add a product to their cart and then have no way of checking out. Shopify support was no help, they first said the issue was my theme (‘minimal’ is the name of the theme) being outdated. they said they’d find a temporary fix and get back to me but never did. today it was completely different, they said I would have to hire an expert coder to change my code?? please help! we are a record label with new releases dropping tomorrow. thanks in advance!
What do you mean by no way of checking out? Your checkout button is missing? There was an issue recently with Shopify stores regarding checkout. Please check your status here.

Says all operational when I check. But yes, checkout button is missing. PayPal and Shop pay option come up for some people but not all. They add something to cart, click their cart, and there’s no way to hit check out. My code has not changed at all, it happened out of nowhere.

Are you using an app for this? If so, please contact the app provider since they are replacing the Checkout with the Update Cart button. If this is a customize code, I would contact your developer regarding this.
We don’t use an app that im aware of. Nothing has been changed with the code either, it has never been edited. how would I be able to tell if we use an app to generate this?
Actually, it seems like code edits. They left some comments. I would contact the theme developer about this

we have the minimal theme. I cant find anything on the internet about who the developer is, aside from articles about Shopify retiring the theme (so I assume Shopify created it?). im lost at what to do from this point forward
Your Minimal theme is not on its default settings or code. Someone customized the code on that theme. I would try to recall where did you get this theme, if it is purchased? Or have you hired someone to work on your theme?
Is there a way to set it back to default settings?
You need to download the Minimal theme again. The minimal theme is no longer available in public

I seem to have a similar issue. For some reason I haven’t had a single sale for 10 days. I haven’t changed anything, still running paid ads, and would typically have 3-5 purchases per day. I was impacted with last week’s checkout issue (which also impacted a cohort of Shopify Merchants) but I can’t seem to locate the issue. Any suggestions?
