Hello, I am wondering how to go about changing the message a customer would receive if they already have a customer account, but try to sign up again. Currently if they fill out the form a second time they get the message “Check your email for a verification link to activate your account” and they would also get the email sent to the email account on file.
With the type of site I created and how my business works, my customer’s wouldn’t even use the shopify customer account - I just use it as a starting point for membership pre-registration. The information entered into the form on my shopify site is fed over to a member portal which creates a member account in that system (gymmaster). Gymmaster would then send an email to the customer to log in to my membership portal.
When the customer enters their information into the form on my shopify site, it creates a customer account in shopify which then triggers the events to send the information over to Gymmaster. Now if a customer happens to complete and submit the form a second time, they get the “Check your email for a verification link to activate your account”. I want to change this message to something like “You have previously completed this form and have a member profile with us. Please check your email for instructions on how to log into our member portal”.
