Dawn Collection and Product Image size - Please, please help

Hello,

Most of my products have good, large, high-quality image sizes and I have no issue. But one product I sell, the provided images are only 300 x 300. In my collection page and product page for those images, Dawn increases their size above 100% original size and they are huge and blurry. I have been all over playing with the code with things I see here, on YouTube, and other places changing the percentage to below 65% (down to as low as 5%) which is on the section-main-product.css file, but that does not fix it. There must be a code I can put somewhere that Dawn will not blow up images more than 100%. That’s it… it’s all I need, not to auto-size increase product images to fit a space. I know very little when it comes to code, but that does not seem impossible to me. Please can someone help, I cannot open my store with the images looking this way and I am opening January 1st. I have been asking on and off for 2 months with no solution. It also does it on the collection page. I have already changed the code to be able to have 6 products wide on a collection page, and it helped somewhat, but they are still blurry and larger than original size.

The product I am having an issue with is Beads.

I mean look how terrible this product page looks

Someone, can you please help? I am so frustrated right now. So much so that I may just go back to Minimum theme after months or re-doing my site for Dawn. Or… just stick with Squarespace after paying for Shopify for 2 years while I set it up.

Hi @sweetstash , I tried to fix the images. It didn’t look like a very straightforward and quick task. Of course it is possible if someone spends some good amount of time on this. Why aren’t you hiring an expert to do this for you?

I don’t remember me having to tell you my personal business as to what I do and why. I also know that this community is supposed to be where people ask for help. That’s what it’s for and that’s how we learn. I won’t learn anything hiring someone to do it for me. Not everyone has funds to hire experts. Some of us are small at-home businesses struggling in these times to get ahead, better our stores, so we can grow and put food on the table. Maybe you don’t know what that is like. I have seen with my many hours of research that I am far from the only one having image size issues with Dawn.
