Dawn Theme - Image and text section - full width 1/2 and 1/2

Hello, im trying to get the text and image section of Dawn theme to be full width and 1/2(image) and 1/2(text area).

How can this be done?

It does not allow me to attach image to a message, so I posted my answer here

Please change Desktop image width setting of Image with text to Medium in theme Customize

And then add this code to Custom CSS of this section.

.page-width {
max-width: 100%;
padding: 0;
}

unfortunately it did not work.

Found a way to get it to work right in the liquid section. Just added a style to the class.
