Dawn theme isnt following currency settings on checkout page

Hi Everyone,

so couple of questions, first how can i remove the currency symbol from checkout page… i am using dawn theme and i hide it in options but its still displaying, secondly theme isnt following the currency format on checkout (only this page) any idea how can i fix it?
