Dawn Theme Search Bar add metafield as a search parameter

Hello there,

I would like to allow users to search for our products by a metafield value. Right now, customers can only search by product name and product tags but that is very limited in search results.

I see there is a recommended native app: Shopify Search & Discovery however, I have another search app that allows filtering on collection pages.

  1. How do I add metafield to the search criteria?

  2. How do use a different page/link or edit the link that customers can see to view all products?

  3. How do I edit the suggested searches and respective collections that the suggestions redirect to?
