Debit card or PayPal for paying suppliers on CJDropshipping: Which is better?

Hi, I am deciding which payment method I should use to pay my supplier on, “cjdropshipping”. I can either use Paypal or pay with a debit card. Firstly, since I’m under 18, I’d have to use my parent’s information on Paypal, and since one of my parents’ names is under my checking account, I can link my Paypal account to my personal checking account. However, I understand Paypal can shut accounts and doesn’t like the dropshipping model. On the other hand, I can simply get a debit card from the bank which is legal even though I’m under 18. However, there is a limit to the amount of money I can spend each day.

My first question -Can I substitute a credit card for a debit card for online purchases?

My second question- Which payment method would you use/recommend?

I am leaning toward a debit card-less risky. Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Hey there, I am also under 18 and I have a debit card to my name. I was able to set up all the payments with it and also I just had to put in my bank details. The only problem I encountered was the fact that I had to put my parent’s data because I needed to be +18. In case debit cards don’t work for you you could just ask your parents to put their bank account but that’s up to you.

I also synchronized PayPal, I had to turn my account into a business account and thanks to my father’s business info I managed to synchronize it. I guess you can easily do that by yourself with your parent’s information as well.

In summary, I recommend you to have both the Paypal and credit card methods so more people will have the chance. If you had to choose, I would choose the card as fewer people use Paypal than credit card as far as I know.

To be honest I don’t know if it is dangerous to do dropshipping with Paypal but even though they shut your account I doubt they will keep the money. There would be a way to get your money back so I don’t see the problem with doing it there if you also had the credit card payment.
