Do you post the same content across all platforms or customize for each one?

Topic summary

The discussion explores whether to replicate content across social media platforms or tailor it for each one.

Current Practices:

  • One participant admits to copy-pasting identical content but plans to start paraphrasing at minimum
  • Another uses consistent formatting for platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn, while customizing direct customer communications based on individual preferences

Key Considerations Raised:

  • Platform-specific effectiveness varies by demographics and use cases
  • Customization level ranges from simple paraphrasing to full demographic/behavioral targeting

Status: The conversation remains exploratory, with participants sharing their approaches but no consensus on best practices. The question of how different platforms serve different audiences is acknowledged as important but not yet deeply examined.

Really important question. Additional question would be for us to explore how the different platforms are effective for different demographics and use cases.

I’m guilty of copy-pasting the same thing over and over again :grimacing: I’ll be customizing them in my next post. Not as much as tailoring every piece of content to specific demographics or platform behavior, but at least I’ll start with paraphrasing the copy first.

It depends. For the content publishing on some social platforms like YouTube or LinkedIn, I prefer to display them in the same pattern. But for content sent to customers, it will be customized according to the needs and likes.
