Do Shopify collects taxes on my behalf?? I need to speak with someone! Im trying to file my business taxes and I need information from you guys.

Thank you for your post, I’m happy to help you out. Shopify does collect taxes for orders placed on your store (if you’ve configured your tax settings for the regions where you need to collect taxes) but we do not remit taxes for you. In your Shopify admin you are able to access tax reports which show the amount of taxes you need to remit to the government. I recommend checking out these two help documents which discuss taxes in more detail and answer common questions regarding how to set up your tax settings and how to access tax reports:
