I noticed most Apps with some kind of product list widget (recommendations, best sellers, wishlist etc)
Offer rather limited cutomisation but all of them do have very similar provided template.
It looks something like this:
Basicially, photo, name, price, variant selection and “Add to card” button.
With some apps you can reorganise them but generally this the pattern they follow.
Is there some kind of research, data that shows this template has most conversions?
My biggest concern is: Do people really add products to the cart from the list without going to product page first? I guess it may be a yes for wishlist page, as these are product they already seen and added to wishlist.
But would people add product to cart directly from “Similar to” or “Bestseller” lists?
We already have our custom card that’s just an image, name, price with hover effect for photos.
So now we either adapt our card to match this style for consistency or we have to look for apps that offer code customisation and there are not many of these.
So is there some kind of data/research to back up if this template everyone uses is actually good or is everyone just mimicing?
