Hi guys,I trust you are well.

My above domain is successfully connected but it keeps on breaking sometimes and not accessible.

It just stopped loading the website.

Could you please assist? Thanks

Hey, I’ve seen this happen a few times with domains that look connected but aren’t fully stable yet.

A couple things you could check:

  • In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Domains and confirm your domain is marked as the primary domain

  • Double-check your DNS records where you bought the domain:

  • If it works sometimes and then breaks, it could be DNS propagation or caching this can take a bit of time depending on the provider, also try loading your site on a different network or device to rule out local cache issues

In most cases like this, it ends up being a small DNS mismatch or a propagation delay rather than something major.

Would be interesting to know if it’s happening on both the www and non-www version of your domain.

Hi Kgarego, sorry to hear your domain is acting up! Intermittent connection issues usually stem from a messy DNS configuration.

Here is a quick checklist to fix this:

  • Check for Duplicate Records: Ensure you have only one A Record pointing to 23.227.38.65 and only one CNAME (www) pointing to shops.myshopify.com. Extra records can cause your site to flip between Shopify and a blank page.

  • Disable DNSSEC: If your domain provider has DNSSEC enabled, it can often block Shopify’s SSL from renewing properly. Turn it off in your registrar’s settings.

  • Check Cloudflare: If you use Cloudflare, make sure the Proxy (orange cloud) is turned off (gray cloud) for your A and CNAME records, as Shopify manages its own proxy/SSL.

If those are correct, try clearing your browser cache or checking via a private/incognito window to rule out a local issue!

Hello @Kgarego, make sure you have connected the domain properly.

All the DNS records must be point to the Shopify. If you confident that the DNS pointing to the Shopify, then the best way is to contact with the support of Domain Provider.

Sometime, domains provider facing issues which affect on multiple domain requests.
