Domestic shipping zone

Hello,

I am currently setting up my online store on Shopify and I am encountering an issue with domestic shipping zones. I need to apply different shipping rates for mainland Portugal and the Portuguese islands, as the shipping costs are significantly different.

However, Shopify does not seem to allow me to modify the domestic shipping zone, as it defaults to all zones being selected. I am only able to divide shipping zones for international shipping, which works fine for Spain.

Could anyone advise on how to adjust the domestic shipping zones to set different prices for mainland Portugal and the islands? Any guidance or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Shopify offers 20 regions for Portugal. Based on my research regarding mainland Portugal and the Portuguese islands, the names match those listed in the Shopify shipping zones, as shown in the attached image. If you need further division of states into cities, this feature is not available by default in Shopify.

However, you could explore solutions like PH Multi-Carrier Shipping Label, which allows you to configure shipping zones based on “Postcode.” The app also comes with a 14-day free trial period and integrates with global shipping carriers.
