A user is struggling to wrap product titles across multiple lines on small Dymo 30332 labels (1"x1") when creating templates in Dymo Label v.8 for Stocky.
With text scaling set to ‘none’, only the first 12 characters print. With ‘shrink to fit’ or ‘auto scaling’, the full title prints on one line but becomes too small to read. The user’s previous POS system successfully wrapped titles across 3 lines on the same label size.
Proposed Solution:
Another user suggested replacing the standard ‘Text Object’ with an ‘Address Object’, which handles multi-line variable data better. The steps involve:
Deleting the current text box
Adding an Address Object
Unchecking default fields (Name, City) in properties
Linking to the product_title variable
Current Status:
The original poster tried this approach but reports that the Address Object properties appear identical to the Text Object, without the expected Name/City fields. They’ve confirmed their Dymo v.8 software is up to date and are open to alternative template creation tools. Another user has offered to investigate directly by accessing the store.

Has anyone found a way to wrap text to multiple lines when creating a Dymo template for Stocky? I use a 30332 label, 1”x1”. I’m using Dymo label v.8 to create my templates. I create a text box functioning as a variable object attached to product_title. I’d like that text box to print in multiple lines, as my product titles are on the longer side. If I set text scaling to none and font size as 9, only the first 12 characters of the product title will print. If I set text scaling to shrink to fit or auto scaling, the full title name prints, but all on one line making it too tiny to read.
My previous POS system had label printing built in and, with this same size label, the title printed wrapping over 3 lines of text. Is there a way to make the template to do that?
I’ve spent hours googling and can’t seem to find an answer.
This is a frustrating and known quirk with the Dymo v.8 software. The standard ‘Text Object’ handles wrapping for variable data poorly. The solution is to use an ‘Address Object’ instead, which is designed for multi-line text.
In your Dymo label template, delete your current product title text box. Add an ‘Address Object’ in its place and resize it to fit the area. Double-click the address object to open its properties, uncheck all the default fields like ‘Name’ and ‘City’ to create a single empty block, and then link this block to your product_title variable from Stocky.
This should force your long product titles to wrap correctly across multiple lines, making them legible on your small labels.
Thanks for your reply. I tried using Address Object, but when I look at the properties I don’t see fields like name & city. The Address object seems to be acting just like a text object. The properties box looks exactly the same.
I checked to see if maybe I needed to update my Dymo v.8 software, but it says I have the most current software. If there’s a better product to create templates, I’d be happy to us it. This is so frustrating!
