I have run into the same issue as I think many ebay sellers who are looking for a solution for cross platform inventory management. My requirments are for both ebay and Etsy, though I do have an Etsy app that works flawlessly. I’ve planted the seed and hope they will build an ebay app in the future…regardless. I would take an app that was actually really good at ebay only and deal with the overflow inventory sales on Etsy manually…
Please do consider posting your experiences with what worked for you so others can quickly try something that might be a solution they are looking for.
Regardless, I have reviewed a lot of the options Shopify offers in their online app store with great disappointment. Some I have installed and tried. Some of these developers are definitely out of touch when it comes to the small shop runners from a pricing standpoint, making testing the product a waste of time…regardless…
Codesto - the Pricing model I thought was ridiculous, but eh, that is my opinion, depending upon your operations net profits, it actually might be quite nice. What really worried me the most was the current reviews around eBay. I just don’t know that I want to run that risk…granted, if they were offering Etsy as well, I probably would have given it a test drive. The application may be worth a run depending upon your requirements.
Integration for Ebay - the pricing model for number of listings and synch rate for orders was, IMHO to high for me to move further. That and the fact many of the reviews, even the good ones, talked about existing listings needing to come down and some saying be ready to start over. Just not really something I want to do.
Salestio - I thought the pricing model on this was very fair. I installed the app, not a difficult application to use in my opinion. The support for Etsy was very limited to the point, I did not get to deep into that side at all. Decided I would focus on eBay. Downloaded my existing ebay listings without issue. Integrated my existing Shopify listings without issue. The issue started and ended when the application did not distinguish between out of stock Shopify listings, Archived Listings and In Stock listings. Basically, it sucked them all into the pool available for upload to other platforms. This would not be an issue if you could see the QTY and status of the items. Both in the stock view - no QTY showing, and when selecting items for a profile for - in this case eBay - no QTY showing. So no way to know, if your have 1000’s of skus like myself - what items are actually available for listing. At that point, I moved no further into the product. The tech support was quick and acknowledged they do not show QTY which made the product dead in the water for my purposes.
Nembol - I didn’t care for the pricing given the number of SKU’s I have and the inventory I still have unlisted anywhere, and really, the reviews scared the heck out of me… So decided to pass on it.
Sellbrite - I tried them once, but honestly did not put any effort into the platform. I may go back and try them again in the future.
Magnalister - Well, the reviews being unreadable and many negatives gave me pause. The pricing on their website made the decision for me easy.
Koongo - This app appears to use database level process. An interesting concept, but I don’t believe it is a good fit for my business model. The pricing seems a little high based upon items given I venture most of it is automated and what you are paying for is processing. Great variety of platforms though.
Sellbery - This application had such promise. I spent a couple days working with this application. Offers short codes which is nice, downloaded products from Shopify and Ebay without issue and the synch process was easy. I had my first oversell using this app with an order placed on ebay at 6pm EST approx and the item never coming out of stock on Shopify so my Etsy app never picked up the sale on eBay as result, the same item sold on Etsy at 11pm EST approx. Great. I had an inventory adjustment - manually - writing off an item on Shopify, never picked up on Sellbery. Two items sold that never updated on Shopify - I ended up manually adjusting inventory for Shopify and Etsy, was just a mess on the synch and I have no idea if it was me of the system. Then, tried to list on eBay and the process just wasn’t working, again, don’t know if it was me or the system. So much potential…sigh…
Inkfrog - A friend of mine across the state uses them for eBay and while he is still learning, he seems to like it. He manages 3 eBay stores. I think I am going to give their application a shot and see how it work. It does only cover ebay but I have another app that handles my Etsy stuff anyway.
At the end of the day, at some point, I may end up going back to a local software (i.e. something on my computer) to manage platforms if this continues. My go to in the past, for years, was Sixbit, but they are expensive.
