I would like to embed a video into my homepage without having to go through youtube or vimeo. I tried adding a new section with code, but am not having luck editing my index code to incorporate the new section. My current theme only allows for uploading through youtube or vimeo. The video is currently uploaded into my files and my theme is studio.
Shopify has actually recently released new setting types for theme developers. The video setting type allows merchants to upload videos directly to a theme rather than pasting a YouTube URL.
Not all themes support this yet so it’s something you want to check. Our theme - Paper does support this though.
