Enable zoom on hover on collection page of Maranello compact. Images are quite small and zoom function would be helpfull to save clicking through to actual product page

The Maranello Compact theme might not have a built-in zoom feature for collection page images, but you can add it with a bit of custom code. Here are some options:
Check Theme Settings – Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize and see if there’s a zoom or hover effect option for collection images.
Use Custom CSS & JS – If the theme doesn’t have this feature, you can add a simple CSS and JavaScript snippet to enable zoom on hover. Let me know if you’d like guidance on this!
Shopify Apps – There are Shopify apps that add zoom functionality without coding, like “Magic Zoom Plus” or similar.

Yes its very much needed in compact layout as images are small and the ideally be able to add to cart from same page, but with small image you end up having to click through to product. What are timescales on that as we need ASAP.
We can only push updates to the theme once per month and we have already locked the scope for the release of this month. A feature like this needs to be implemented in all products cards, not just compact rows so my best guess would be at some point in the next update (At some point in May)

There was a small period of code freeze for all themes due to some marketplace changes so we haven’t updated the theme yet. This feature will be added in the next version that will be published at the end of the June.

until we incorporate this feature, you can add a Custom Liquid section in the same template and paste the following code:
Make sure to remove the section’s title so that there won’t be any visible artifacts.
