Extra space between header and slide show (debut theme)

Hi, I would like a good code or solution to the extra space between my header and the slide show.

Then I need a solution for the extra space from the slideshow section picture on the top and bottom. The image slides do not fill the slide show space. It leaves space on the top and the bottom.

None of the other answers online works.

Note: I only need this solution for the home page.

yes, please try this code

  1. Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code
  2. Asset->/theme.scss.liquid->paste below code at the bottom of the file.
#shopify-section-slideshow {
    padding-top: 0;
    margin-top: -55px;
}

Thanks this solution worked great on lap. What do I need to do if it slightly cuts off top of slide show on mobile?

Also the bottom of the slideshow still has some space. The top is fine now.
