Hi! I am using facebook ads for conversions, now when people click on my profile picture in the ads they go to my facebook page, how can i make it that when somoene click on my profile picture in my ads they get redirected to my website? (Instead of facebook page)
Topic summary
-
Objective: Use Facebook conversion ads and redirect clicks on the ad’s profile picture to a website instead of the Facebook page.
-
Current behavior: When users click the profile image/name in a Facebook ad, they are taken to the advertiser’s page/profile.
-
Key update: Meta does not allow changing that behavior. Only clicks on the ad itself (e.g., image/video, headline, Call-To-Action button) can lead to the ad’s target URL (website).
-
Outcome: No available setting or workaround to redirect profile picture clicks to a website.
-
Follow-up: A participant asked why avoiding the profile is important, offering help if more context is provided.
-
Status: Resolved in terms of feasibility (not possible); open only if alternative goals or tactics are sought.
Hello @lukavu
It is not possible, the clients need to click on the ads itself to go to the ads target. If they click on your profle image/name, they will be redirected to your profile. There is no way to change that.
Hi Lukavu,
That’s actually not possible for now according to Meta & Please let me know if there is a particular reason why you do not want people to go to your profile? Maybe I can help you if I know more.
Thanks & Good luck
