Facebook Shop redirect to website

Hi,

I’m in Canada and I have my Facebook shop connected to my Shopify account. When viewing products on my Facebook shop it has a message button for checkout, how do I change this to a Buy button that redirects to my website?

Thank you

Glen

Hey @GlenKing ,

Welcome to the Shopify Community!

To change the “Message” button to a “Buy” button that redirects to your website, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Shopify admin panel and select “Sales Channels” from the left-hand menu.

  2. From the Sales Channels page, select “Facebook” and then click “Settings.”

  3. Under the “Checkout Settings” section, you’ll see an option for “Checkout on Facebook.” Toggle this off.

  4. Save your changes.

By turning off the “Checkout on Facebook” option, your Facebook Shop will now display a “Buy on Website” button instead of a “Message” button. When a customer clicks on the “Buy on Website” button, they will be redirected to the product page on your Shopify website where they can complete their purchase.

Keep in mind that turning off the “Checkout on Facebook” option means that customers will no longer be able to complete their purchases directly on Facebook. They will need to navigate to your website to complete their purchases.

hello Moira,

Thank-you for responding to my question, I really appreciate it.

I’m not seeing a spot under the settings tab of my sales channel for Facebook that has “Checkout Settings”

What is listed under the Settings tab for Facebook is as follows:

Share Data

Shipping Settings

Business Assets

Terms&Conditions

I also checked my Commerce Manager on my Meta account under Check out Method which only has a selection of Check out with messaging.

Please advise

@GlenKing

My apologies, to make this change you will need to head to business.facebook.com.

From your Meta Business Suite select Commerce Manager > Settings > General > Checkout Method, here you will see the option to Checkout with Facebook/Instagram or Checkout on another website. See image below:
