If you use the Shopify search and discovery app by Shopify managing this will be easier and there’s an availability feature that’s default on it, if not you can create it as well.
This makes filtering easy and more dynamic by letting you use metafields as well for advanced custom filtering, it’s and by Shopify so that’s a plus

The easiest way to get an “In Stock” filter without touching code is through the Shopify Search and Discovery app, it’s free and built by Shopify. Once installed go to Filters, add an Availability filter and it shows up on your collection pages automatically. Works on most themes including older ones.
That said, looking at your store you seem to be on the Supply theme which Shopify discontinued, so there is a chance the filter UI might not render cleanly even after adding it. Might be worth testing first before anything else.
If it does not look right on your current theme and you are open to switching, most modern free themes like Dawn handle availability filters out of the box without any extra setup.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure Supply does not support modern search and filtering controlled by the Search & Discovery app.
I guess it only supports filtering by tag…
And sorting by availability is not natively possible.
What you can do (if not willing to change the theme) is to use an app to assign/remove a product tag based on product availability.
There are paid apps which can do that, or one can use free Flow app to do the same.
Then you will be able to enable Supply’s filtering by tags.
A proper thing would be to upgrade to a newer theme, like Dawn or Horizon (and their sibling free themes from Shopify, or a paid theme from the theme store).
However, this would not be a small task, but you will get much more flexibility.
Yeah I havent changed theme because its simply too much work I dont have time for…
And to be honest I hate having to mess about with apps, I just wish shopify would just fix stuff like this when you request it…
