Performance Max works really well and demand gen. However, I would not used demand gen if you are on a small budget. And the reasons I say, it works well is because I have a client that sells books. And while I do use all types of campaigns, these two are the best performing.

So let’s forget about demand gen for now, and let’s talk about Pmax. Make sure that if you use PMax, that you add specific assets for each category you sell. For example fiction crime, fiction classic, fiction adventure, fiction romance etc. Create an asset for each category with specific headlines, descriptions and images.
